Qixi, the Double Seventh Festival, is often called China's Valentine's Day. It carries the tender legend of the cowherd and the weaver girl, two lovers allowed to meet just once a year across a bridge of magpies over the Milky Way. Couples exchange gifts and sweet messages, and many share romantic photos and greetings online. With Trendy AI Lab, you can turn one selfie, or a couple photo, into a dreamy Qixi greeting card in seconds, no design skills needed.
Scenes to make
- Red-lantern romance portrait. Your face framed by warm glowing lanterns for a classic Chinese Valentine's mood.
- Starry-night Qixi poster. A soft Milky Way backdrop with drifting light, echoing the festival's famous sky reunion.
- Magpie-bridge love greeting. A gentle bridge-and-stars scene that nods to the story of the two lovers meeting.
- Blossom and silk portrait. Delicate flowers and flowing fabric for an elegant, romantic feel.
- Sweet couple card. Space to add a loving line for your partner alongside your styled photo.
How to make one
- Pick a style from the Qixi Festival collection in the app.
- Upload a clear selfie or a favourite couple photo. Your photo is used only to make your image and is deleted afterwards, never used for advertising.
- Add your greeting or name if the style allows it, such as "Happy Qixi" or a short romantic message.
- Generate. The AI creates your festive scene in seconds while keeping your face recognisable.
- Download and share with your partner or on your social feeds.
Tips for the best result
- Use a front-facing photo with your face clearly lit.
- Choose even, soft lighting to match the romantic style.
- Keep the background plain so the styling stands out.
- For couple photos, make sure both faces are visible and unobstructed.
Sharing your greeting
Send your finished card straight to your partner on WhatsApp, or post it to your Instagram story or status to mark the day. A personalised Qixi greeting with your own face feels far warmer than a generic forward.
